Synteras Partners with GlobalSCAPE to Provide Secure Data Management Solutions to Enterprise and Government Customers

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Synteras LLC, a provider of innovative solutions that ensure continuity of operations, assured access to data, and information assurance for federal, state and commercial organizations, announced a partnership with GlobalSCAPE (OTCBB:GSCP). Under the terms of the agreement, Synteras will now offer the full line of GlobalSCAPE solutions, including file transfer, secure server, wide-area file services, and continuous data protection, to enterprise and government customers.

Synteras LLC, a subsidiary of NANA, a $1B privately held corporation, is an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) and a participant in the Small Business Association's 8(a) program, both of which provide selling advantages when dealing with public sector buyers.

GlobalSCAPE's solutions ensure secure transfer of data, file sharing and data back up and recovery. It has a rapidly growing presence in the Government and the Department of Defense and just recently signed a contract with the U.S. Army for $2.8m.

The GlobalSCAPE product line combined with Synteras' integration services and tailored training provides key solutions to ensure security, privacy and data recovery. This has been brought sharply into focus with the need to comply with the May 4, 2007 National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive HSPD-20, which mandates the procedures for continuity of the federal government in the event of a "catastrophic emergency” and issues guidance for State, local, territorial, and tribal governments, as well as the private sector. HSPD-20 was issued to ensure a comprehensive and integrated national continuity program that will enhance the credibility of the U.S. national security posture and enable a more rapid and effective response to, and recovery from, a national emergency.

“The partnership with GlobalSCAPE increases our ability to offer our government and commercial clients a proven and scalable solution to assure individual and enterprise information is secured, safe and retrievable on a 24/7 basis,” stated Brad Fugitt, President of Synteras. “In addition, our partnership will allow clients the ability to hire one team to address the challenges of compliance with HSPD-20 and similar government and Federal mandates."

“The partnership with Synteras extends GlobalSCAPE's reach into previously untouched areas of the Government and will allow us to showcase our high-quality solutions to this much wider pool of buyers,” said Randy Poole, GlobalSCAPE's CEO. “For both government and the private sector, the need to have secure transfers and data sharing with built-in redundancy and recoverability is no longer a luxury; it's a necessity, particularly in light of HSPD-20.”
