Information Sharing
Mission: To foster information sharing internally within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), horizontally within the U.S. government, vertically across state, local territorial, and private sector partners, and horizontally with the law enforcement and intelligence agencies of foreign allies.
Challenge
The Department of Homeland Security employs a policy team that assesses the state of information sharing across Federal, state and local entities. This team is developing both a vision and an implementation plan that will enable information sharing across many shared mission communities.
Solution
Synteras deploys a team of TS/SCI-cleared policy analysts who are responsible for:
- Evaluating and coordinating policy to promote information exchange across Federal, state, local and private sector partners
- Outreach to specific groups, proactively supporting the flow of information and ensuring compliance
